Cisco Meraki is looking for a data analyst who is passionate about marketing, has solid experience working with data tools, and is eager to scale a fast-growing team by building out capabilities in data, reporting, and analytics. As the first Data Analyst in our global marketing department, you will tell stories with data and enable your teammates to become data-driven marketers. This role is part of our Marketing Operations team, and you will have the unique opportunity to build analytical infrastructure and shape the overall data and analytics strategy for a rapidly growing organization.
The position is based in our London office, and will support global teams. Business travel to North America and Asia will be required.
You will:
- Analyze marketing, business, and product data; produce strategic recommendations and benchmarks for key marketing metrics
- Collaborate with regional, portfolio, and functional marketers to surface insights to inform marketing strategy and campaign optimization
- Design and build scalable reports and dashboards to monitor critical metrics, highlight areas of improvement, and influence marketing strategy
- Analyze multiple data sources and databases to diagnose, troubleshoot, and improve data quality issues
- Work closely with Marketing Automation Manager to ensure platform integration and data quality
- Lead the rollout of new analytical reports including how-to guides and enablement materials
- Work cross-functionally to identify and address analytics tracking, tooling, attribution modeling, and infrastructure challenges
- Develop predictive models that guide marketing forecasting and investments
- Provide guidance and leadership for the marketing community of analysts (including training, Q&A, communication, etc.)
- Work with Sales, Business Strategy, and other teams across Meraki to access, understand, and use marketing data within our data warehouse
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to contribute to the marketing priorities and influence decision-making
You have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in a business intelligence or analytical function, with at least 2 years in marketing analytics, preferably in the networking space
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Data visualization and web analytics experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL, scripting and analysis languages (Python, R), and Excel
- Proven track record of solving complex problems and developing actionable insights from data
- Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership skills and the ability to engage and influence others
- Demonstrable experience and familiarity with data warehouse and BI platforms; including metric creation, report/dashboard/visualization development & scheduling, and administration
- Deep knowledge of statistics and probability
Bonus points if you have:
- Produced a creative, original project from data
- Worked in a global environment with remote teams
- Familiarity with Marketo and Salesforce
- Experience with data warehousing
