Data Analyst (Contract) - Execution Studio

Capital One is one of the few North American public companies that have gone all-in on the cloud. We have now begun the exciting journey of building applications to accomplish our ‘higher speed-to-market’ objectives.

The Campaign Execution Team at Capital One Canada delivers business intent to the end customers, in the form of email, direct mail, account level changes such as changes in terms, balances, etc. We do this by using data intensive applications, built by the Capital One Financial enterprise or built by the Execution Studio Data Analysts themselves. The Data Analyst will work closely with Product Owners, Software Developers, Architects and other Data Analysts to develop the campaign delivery platform. The Data Analyst will also directly use the existing campaign delivery platform and tools to deliver some of the campaigns on a day to day basis. This is important to constantly be aware of customer needs for the products being built.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize a variety of languages and tools to build data pipelines to pull together information from different data sources
• Design, Construct, Test and Maintain highly scalable data management systems
• Clean, Prepare and Optimize data for consumption
• Integrate data management technologies and software engineering tools into data management systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree
• At least 2 years of software development experience coding in Python
• At least 2 years of experience in data warehousing and data processing
• At least 2 years of experience using Relational Databases and SQL
• 1+ year Experience with AWS cloud services

Preferred Skills :

• 2+ years of experience with NoSQL systems
• 2+ years of experience with SPARK and KAFKA
• 3+ years experience with PostgreSQL
• 3+ years of experience in systems design, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• 1+ year experience Agile development methodologies
• 1+ year Experience with Highly Scalable systems
