What you’ll be doing...

The Manager, Business Development is responsible for growing, developing, and managing a team of Business Development Representatives responsible for driving market share and qualifying leads that build pipeline for the sales organization. This role use leadership and lead generation and qualification skills to develop BDR reps and drive programs that ensure successful pipeline development, and are targeting specific accounts that will ensure overall health of the business. This role will drive business development programs by establishing call plans, writing scripts, motivating the team and tracking and reporting success.

Some of the things you’ll be doing include ...

  • Leadership and management of the Business Development team including resource management, hiring, mentorship, and performance management
  • Engagement with sales and marketing team to develop program objectives and establish call programs
  • Drive call programs including: list sourcing, scripting, testing plans, tracking, reporting and execution
  • Run execution tests by delivering outbound calls to engage prospects and customers to take an action
  • Build spiff programs and other incentives to motivate a team of BDRs
  • Build a training and on‐boarding program to ensure new team members are enable to succeed from the start
  • Build weekly/quarterly/monthly lead development goals and be able to report on success within each market to sales leadership

Who you are...

  • Experienced. 2+ years of management experience and 5+ years in sales.
  • Amazing Salesperson . Experience in software sales, including transactional sales and strategic selling experience, as well as significant people management experience.
  • Missionary. Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency and a belief in Tableau’s mission.
  • Energy and Enthusiasm. Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; leadership and communication skills.
