We are seeking a very Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Mortgage Development team. As part of the team, you will build test strategies, test plans, write/execute test cases, and assist product teams across the org with cross-cutting quality concerns, such as: system, scalability, performance, reliability, usability, testability, security, compliance/regulation and any other non-functional testing concerns. This role requires a large degree of coordination, communication, and influencing in the org across different groups: engineering, product/design, devops. Requires a self-starter that can define the work, identify the high value items and deliver with a high degree of success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical, test and project leadership skills
• Responsible for leading the end to end QA effort for large software platforms, services and products to ensure appropriate test coverage
• Ability to be the customer advocate, helping to ensure that we are delivering the best experience possible to our members
• Maintain, create and implement quality assurance processes, metrics and tools
• Be a product liaison and provide leadership with planning, estimating, scheduling, resources, deploying, and managing the testing effort for any given product area
• Work with cross-functional teams (product management, engineering, business analysts) to define, refine and execute software testing to ensure delivery of high quality product components
• Ensure effective collaboration between QA and other teams on the project
• Ensure that all areas of testing (e.g., system, functional, scalability, performance, reliability and regression) are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved

Requirements

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance
• Strong automation tool and framework experience in at least 1 tool
• Strong knowledge of good UX and design principles
• Strong attention to details
• Self-motivated with strong decision-making skills
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience with development methodologies like Kanban, Lean Agile, Scrum and etc.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
• Strong knowledge of test process, testing techniques and software test tools
• Experience in multiple non-functional testing areas: system, scalability, performance, reliability, usability, security
• Ability to work with development teams to understand and prioritize non-functional testing concerns
