About the role:The Associate Brand Marketing Manager will be a key contributor in building a new brand from the ground-up. Reporting to the Brand Strategy and Communications Manager, you’ll support the strategic development and execution of the brand’s integrated marketing initiatives to build awareness, favorability and rider intent. Cruise is a fast-paced, dynamic environment and you will be an integral part of the ambitious and rapidly growing Cruise Marketing team.
In the near term, the Associate Brand Marketing Manager will own the development of our Employer Brand marketing and communications, which will attract the elite engineers Cruise needs to create a self-driving rideshare service. You’ll build Cruise’s reputation as a place to work by managing and executing marketing tactics that drive candidate awareness and consideration. You’ll champion the brand by ensuring Cruise’s employer brand activations reflect Cruise’s master brand strategy. You’ll be a key thought leader and partner to the marketing, recruiting and engineering teams.
In parallel and longer term, the Associate Brand Marketing Manager will help the Brand Strategy and Communications Manager and the broader marketing team make strategic decisions around Cruise’s brand strategy and the first brand expressions into market. You’ll provide critical thinking into how we communicate our brand throughout the marketing funnel and across different channels. Working with Cruise’s creative and media agencies, you’ll help develop the assets and communications that will run across owned, earned and paid media. You’re the glue that holds the team together, coordinating the end-to-end execution and measurement with the agency and Cruise cross-functional partners. Managing approvals with key internal and external stakeholders, you’ll build relationships and influence with Cruise leadership.
You’ll also serve as a brand champion, helping evangelize the brand across the company by training employees on brand foundations. As the point person for brand best practices, you’ll facilitate conversations and build internal brand management processes so Cruisers can effectively incorporate brand into their work.
