  • BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour
  • Certification premium - $1.25/hour

UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Part Time Registered Nurse to join our Wound and Ostomy Team.
    WORK SCHEDULE
  • Part time / 75% FTE
  • 3x10 shift schedule
  • Day shifts
    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide nursing care for inpatient and outpatient ostomy patients
  • Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients presenting with a broad spectrum of wounds, including surgical, neuropathic, venous, arterial, pressure injuries, and other wounds reflecting underlying diseases
  • Provide pre-operative assessment and education of ostomy patients in the outpatient setting
  • Provide post-operative ostomy management in the inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Enhance the patient and nurse experience across the care continuum, in close partnership with Surgical Physician colleagues
  • Systematically assess the need and delivery of nursing services that meet patient care requirements, whether delivered directly or by the other nursing staff
  • Integrate patient and family education into the delivery of care
  • Assume responsibility for continued professional growth and sharing expertise with other team members
    REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Recent wound and ostomy nursing experience
  • At least 3 years of hospital nursing experience
  • Active BLS
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
