Harborview Medical Center seeks talented professional in the position of ARNP, Nurse Practitioner; or PA-C, Physician Assistant (Advanced Practice Provider, "APP") for Inpatient Neurosurgery.
This position is for 90% FTE, Days, (and including some week-ends and holidays).

The APP for the Department of Neurological Surgery is responsible for comprehensive acute inpatient care, including neurosurgical and internal medicine management. The APP cares for the neurologically injured patient in a dynamic, active, ever-changing environment at the regions only Level I Trauma Center. Work is performed in collaboration with attending physicians, neurosurgeons, residents and internal medicine hospitalists. This is a 90% FTE position with six 12 hour shifts every two weeks, there is no call for this position and there are no surgical responsibilities.
The Department of Neurological Surgery at Harborview Medical Center provides patient care services for a broad range of neurological diseases and disorders at the four University of Washington affiliated hospitals in Seattle, Washington. The Department is also the primary referral center for patients with complex neurological conditions and neurological trauma in the five state WWAMI region, as well as the tertiary referral center for national and international patients. In addition, the Department has one of the premier academic training programs in the world and maintains an active, cutting-edge research program ranging from basic science and translational research to a broad array of clinical trials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Nurse Practitioner:
Masters Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
AND
Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges
AND
National certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
OR
Physician Assistant:
Licensure as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Washington with national certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA).
Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medial Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions.
