About the role

As a Senior Product Manager of New Products in the Smart Home team, you will define products, features and services for new products and initiatives. You will develop and present strategy, product roadmap, and lead execution of the roadmap. You will work closely with design, engineering, data science/analytics and business teams to bring core features to life. You will bring clarity of thought and ensure that resources and teams are always working on the most important, high impact areas. We are highly data driven and make decisions based on experimentation and data. You will be quick at interpreting results from experiments and make decisions on future iterations. We recognize that it is equally important to have strong product intuition that informs decision making. We are looking for product leaders that demonstrate strong user empathy and product instincts. What you'll be doing

• Ownership of the roadmap for strategic growth initiatives for new products
• Maintain a pulse on emerging technologies that will shape the future of the smart home industry
• Cultivate external relationships and foster partnerships which help you achieve your business objectives
• Know the customer and relentlessly advocate in their best interest
• Develop PRDs, feature guides, and product concepts. Write specs, prototype experiences, drive customer research, and craft go-to-market
• Work across multiple development teams within Roku to unify product narratives and align priorities, schedules, and resourcing
• Understand Roku's business and successfully apply that knowledge to extend our competitive advantage
• Track program risks, help drive mitigations, and represent status to the broader leadership team
• Be tenacious. Do whatever it takes to keep your team moving

We’re Excited If You Have These Qualifications

• 5+ years of core product management experience, with a track record of shipping hardware and software products
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative methodology to understand consumer behavior, and using large scale A/B testing to iterate over products and features
• Knowledgeable and experienced with retail market dynamics
• Experience working cross collaboratively with hardware and software teams
• Prior experience delivering consumer electronics products within large consumers segments
• Experience working closely with engineering and design teams as an independent product owner
• Ability to work ambiguously with limited information in an evolving and dynamic environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Arts
• Have a strong bias for action, and balance strategy and execution effectively to drive results
• Ability to communicate with confidence and candor
• Must have good organizational skills and be detail-oriented
• Willingness to travel internationally
