Job Description

At La Mer, your role as an Aesthetician is to provide facial and body treatments to enhance a client's personal appearance and overall wellness in the cabine. Support the counters to serve and sell to customers when not in the cabine room, as well as leading at or off counter customer eventing. You will also use your exceptional people skills to build collaborative working relationships with the rest of your dynamic team to ensure that the store meets the Company’s high standards of visual merchandising. This position will have access to a range of confidential information and so will require the personal characteristics of discretion and integrity. Your roles and responsibilities include:

  • Provide an exceptional experience following the five steps of the La Mer Service Standards when on counter.
  • Recommend the appropriate regimen of skincare products for at-home use based on client’s concerns and lifestyle.
  • Pamper all clients and build loyalty through service excellence. Effectively manage appointments and follow-up, working to build long-term client relationships.
  • Understand, follow and maintain brand policies regarding store operation.
  • Ensure counter tools including tester unit, booklets and samples are well maintained and in good repair to align with brand standard.
  • Attend to basic cleaning periodically, throughout the day or as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful for the role, you will have:

  • Experienced Aesthetician with Beauty Therapy Diploma (2+ years experience)
  • Prior experience within retail would be advantageous, as you will work alongside in store teams to share expertise + support eventing with counter coverage where needed e.g., Speciality Multi Channel, David Jones etc.
  • Ability to deliver inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service
  • Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends and special events in a fast-paced work environment
  • Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software is desirable
  • Proof of right to live and work in the country if invited to attend for interview
