C.H. Robinson is seeking a skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. In this role you will leverage your expertise in tax compliance to execute federal and state tax filings with a specific emphasis on the international components of these returns. This is a hybrid role requiring the candidate to be onsite 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare international forms and attachments, while conducting Federal tax calculations for the Form 1120
• Generate tax calculations and forms for state tax filings
• Stay updated on tax law and regulation changes, ensuring compliance, and identifying opportunities for tax savings
• Propose and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency and accuracy within the tax function
• Assist in preparing Canadian tax filings and responding to CRA inquiries for both income tax and value added tax
• Aid in federal and state tax audits, contributing to the preparation of responses, documentation, and other audit-related tasks
• Serve as a resource for Legal, Accounting and Treasury to support our business operations and customers

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, taxation, or related field of study
• Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate taxation or public accounting (with income tax experience)
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience preparing international Forms 8858, 5471, 8865. Etc.
• Experience responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
• Experience with a national or large regional accounting firm
• Experience with OneSource Income Tax software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment
