This role requires someone to take on the responsibility of creating and executing Netflix consumer products licensing and retail strategy for Spain and Portugal based on the Netflix original content slate. As the Retail & Licensing Specialist IBERIA at Netflix, your role will be very strategic defining and developing category and channel strategy and implementing retailer ad-hoc cross-category programs for our Netflix Global titles such as Stranger Things, One Piece, Squid Game, Bridgerton, and La Casa de Papel. Reporting directly to the country lead, your focus is on developing and implementing best practices and products to position Netflix as a leading player in the region's retail landscape. Job Description (Objectives)

Category and Retail Strategy:

    • Expand our brand portfolio through products and categories aligned with our IPs brand values and DNA.
    • Laying out the strategy through DTR and/or retail development to expand our presence and to keep building retailers' relationships.

Category and Account Strategy:

    • Define category strategy for Netflix portfolio. Develop product line architecture and product research for our top IPs. Identify market-specific creative and product needs. Partner with the best leading licensees in each category to fulfill market needs.
    • Define local account strategy for our top 10 retailers. Plan, develop, and implement ad-hoc go-to-market retail programs, including cross-category retail activations with key stakeholders both retailers and Licensees, to lead and drive strong demand for our products and to expand our IPs brand awareness beyond the content.

Account management:

    • Coordinate, Align, and manage account strategies and account relationships to optimize Netflix brand performance at retail.
    • Develop integrated retail planning calendars, to facilitate product placement in all major categories. Secure licensee participation and integration in marketing and promotional programs.

Cross-functional management:

    • Work closely with regional & country leads to identify and capitalize on opportunities outside the country of origin for non-specific players.
    • Foster collaboration to ensure a unified approach to retail opportunities that transcends individual market constraints.
    • Align with key stakeholders across content makers, brand partnerships, BLA, creative marketing, and regional marketing teams where applicable to maximize the impact of our strategies.

What We Need From You

    • Demonstrated, 8+ years of experience in building and owning the end-to-end licensing function at a reputable entertainment studio, agency, brand or retailer.
    • Robust knowledge of the licensing landscape with strong contacts and network across key markets within Spain, Portugal, and EMEA licensing & retail landscape.
    • Retail Business knowledge across different local/regional tiers ( mass-market, Speciality, and online) and channels (knowledge of operational/omnichannel approach)
    • Trade marketing experience.
    • High level of analytical and financial skills. Data performance analysis.
    • Passionate and curious about retail, marketing, and content.
    • Entrepreneurial, strategic, resilient, and creative thinker. Passion for innovation.
    • Agile, goal-oriented, driven to succeed, and always up for a challenge.
    • Multitasking, adaptable to multiple changes, and speed.
