Compensation Overview

The hourly salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual hourly rate for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

The goal of the Marketing & Communications Intern Program is to attract and develop self-motivated individuals who are interested in the field of Marketing & Communications. As interns, you will be exposed to a challenging work experience with planned activities giving you insight into business and the many career options that lie ahead for you. With many company-wide and community outreach events, you will have the opportunity to interact and network with many levels of leadership and management.
Responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of integrated marketing/advertising campaigns and initiatives to support key business unit objectives. Works collaboratively with business unit marketing teams and the enterprise marketing teams on the creation and execution of campaign activation elements

What Will You Do?

The Marketing & Communications Intern Program provides qualified students an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand business experience and receive valuable on-the-job training. Interns are provided exposure to all levels of management and have the chance to collaborate and network with other development programs during work assignments, and social events.

Specific responsibilities may include:

• Assist enterprise team members with the implementation of integrated marketing strategies and advertising campaigns for Business Insurance, Personal Insurance, and Corporate.
• Assist with the development of marketing campaign activation elements
• Garner internal support/consensus for marketing campaigns/activation elements to meet identified business unit objectives
• Work directly with agency resources (internal) on execution of marketing campaigns
• Work with creative teams to conceptualize ideas in support of assigned campaigns
• Learn channel-specific marketing activation elements, and contribute to their development
• Assist with securing all necessary approvals (management, business unit, legal, creative, etc.) on marketing components
• Maintain and manage enterprise marketing production and media
• Other duties as assigned

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Currently enrolled in Undergraduate or Graduate program with a focus on Communications, English, Marketing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong editorial skills
• Background in digital marketing
• Intermediate PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Experience using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram for a business
• Experience writing and editing social media copy
• Design experience a plus
• Ability to think outside of the box and stay in touch with the latest the digital trends
• Basic project management skills
• Basic analytical skills

What is a Must Have?

• Obtained or pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree required.
• You must be 18 years of age to apply.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
