What You Will Be Doing The Human Resources Manager will partner with internal clients in multiple locations and a remote workforce to provide practical, consistent, and proactive support, direction, and advice. Identify needs and recommend solutions that drive workforce improvement stemming from personal observation, survey results, and/or management direction. Participate and assist with coaching and counseling of employees and management; this may include, but is not limited to, performance discussion, career guidance, and other HR related areas. Oversee division core HR programs including employee relations, background checks, onboarding, offboarding, exit interviews and serve as department liaison. Works in partnership with the VP of HR to create, implement and manage improved HR strategies, services and programs to support the sales workforce
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems. Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity, and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
- Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, terminating employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
- Initiate conflict resolution efforts and conduct investigations into workplace complaints.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment and employee relations.
- Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
- Oversee performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
- Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates as needed.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and communication of records as required by law and in accordance with established Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls related to Human Resources activities.
- Oversee onboarding process, including background checks, offer letters, and new hire packets.
- Manage separation process including performance management and termination process.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
- Oversee direct reports and assist with the use of proprietary applicant tracking system (Cyrus) for research of unemployment claims, job search verifications, etc.
- Support direct reports in accurate completion of personnel change forms (PCAs) and ensure proper procedures followed and documented where appropriate; research and obtain additional information when required.
- Support team in accurate completion of background checks and consistent criteria for hiring of employees.
- Oversee compliance for division in partnership with ASGN Compliance Committee and ASGN resources.
- Support team in prior agreement process and partnership with Corporate Recruiting and Sales Leaders for consistent hiring of employees.
- Answer questions regarding employment history, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
- Allocate human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
- Identify needs and recommend solutions that drive workforce improvement stemming from personal observation, survey results and/or management direction.
- Coach leaders in their communication, feedback, recognition and interaction with the employees who report to them.
- Manage employee surveys and feedback processes.
- Aid other departments as requested.
- Provide backup to the other staff members of the office in accordance with our culture of teamwork and professionalism.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.

- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school); or Work Equivalent
- Professional HR Certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum six years related experience is required.
- Previous experience working with a for-profit, revenue producing organization preferred.
- Management experience with a publicly held company preferred, including working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) procedures and requirements.
- Previous experience navigating a changing culture and environment preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of personnel database management required; PeopleSoft preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Office 365, Internet Explorer and Chrome required.
