We are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, results-oriented Business Development Executive to join our growing Commercial team. At 3E, we are on a mission to establish a safer world! In this position, you have a exciting opportunity to learn Environmental Health and Safety industry standards (“EHS”), master new product offerings, and help companies meet complex regulatory compliance requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the end-to-end sales process in an assigned territory and grow our market presence with new client acquisition and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base:
    • Initiate sales discussions and develop relationships through direct calling/emailing and lead follow up.
    • Schedule and facilitate sales meetings: understand potential client’s business goals and connect product benefits/ capabilities as part of on-site and online presentations. Partner with Sales Engineers and Consultants to articulate highly targeted business proposals and manage product trials.
    • Create compelling business proposals and negotiate commercial terms.
    • Develop a deep understanding of global regulatory landscape, and effectively communicate industry trends and challenges to current and prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team on creating targeted campaign messages.
  • Partner with Account Management team to ensure successful new client onboarding and retention, as well as account growth by identifying and actively pursuing cross-sell opportunities.
  • Influence our product roadmap by sharing client feedback with our Commercial leaders and Product teams.
  • Document sales activity and proactively manage pipeline details in Salesforce.com.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of direct complex sales experience. A background in the chemical regulatory solutions, supply chain or IT systems sales, or EH&S industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in chemistry, environmental policy, chemical engineering, EH&S, or related business field preferred.

Demonstrated Competencies:

  1. Results-Oriented. Proven record of consistently achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals in a high growth organization. Experienced in successfully securing new logo accounts.
  2. Planning . Forward-thinking with ability to set and execute short-and long-term goals: methodical while prospecting and moving more mature opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  3. Self-Management (Time and priorities). Excellent time management, attention to detail and overall strong organizational skills.
  4. Interpersonal Skills. Analytical Problem Solver. Empathy. Negotiator. Well-versed in the Challenger Sale or similar consultative sales methodology.
  5. Continuous Learner : Aptitude and desire to master new industry and technical product suite.
  6. Written Communication . Excellent written communication skills, experienced in preparing and presenting client proposals/RFPs.
  7. Teamwork. Team-player, who collaborates with ease up and down the organization.
  8. Flexibility. Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.
  9. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce.com.

Travel Requirements: ~5 days of travel per month
