Job Description GENERAL PRODUCT STREAM MANAGER (PSM) RESPONSIBILITIES: The PSM is responsible for coordinating all Operations activities on a program and the factory. This includes flowing program requirements down from the product line and program manager to all of the Operations functions. The PSM functions responsibilities primarily include Manufacturing, Technical Operations, Supplier Partnerships and Operations Program Management. In addition to supporting program execution, PSMs are required to support non-recurring engineering program phases, including driving early involvement in development and transition to production programs of the various Ops functions. It will also include involvement in proposal activities for both material and Operations labor estimates.
SUSTAINMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Ensure all hardware meets our contractual requirements or specific customer measurements (MICAP, Supplier Response Time, Repair Turn Around Time, Fill Rate)
2) Promotes a strong sense of teamwork among personnel supporting various phases of the program efforts.
3) Develop, Execute and Monitor plans that support the Business Operating Plan
4) Ensure all types of execution is aligned with Program and Customer demand / requirements
5) Work with production team on any capability transitions to Sustainment
6) Leader / Co-Leader of Defect reduction teams
7) Work with Factory supports to resolve issues that require Program and/or Customer action
8) Work with Program Office/Customer on repair forecast so factory capacity is prepared
9) Provide/Plan material forecasts to ensure material procured/built and available in support of field returns
10) Responsible for Touch Labor Resource planning
11) Lead Continuous Improvement projects that support cycle time and defect reduction
12) Work with Program Office on Special Test Equipment that may be needed to support the forecast
14) Coordinate non recurring activities with production facility for out of production spare builds
15) Responsible for being the Operations representative on the Program office staff
16) Monthly Program Review presentations
17) Lead a group of Operations Program Managers, Factory staff (VSS) and a Technical Operations group (Process Engineer, Product Engineering and Test Engineer)
18) Responsible for Career Development of a staff
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Experience in a manufacturing environment, with an emphasis in sustainment operations.
Experience in running multiple small programs and leading teams to successful outcomes
Experience in developing and supporting Continuous Improvement activities
Experience in direct customer interactions
Experience in transitioning a program from production to the sustainment phase of the lifecycle
Able to perform/understand capacity analysis and constraints to the factory flow
Able to present to all levels, from senior company leadership to the critical touch personnel on the factory floor
Experience in MRP, Oracle, MS Office, TipQA
Able to oversee the RCCA process
