Job Description

We are seeking a hardworking and motivated individual to join Splunk’s legal operations team. As Legal Operations Analyst, your primary role would be to support the Innovation Legal Team. You will also be involved in supporting projects and operational tasks across other Legal practice areas to identify opportunities for improvement and help implement those changes. You must be able to adapt to changing priorities and business needs and be proactive in identifying areas of need and generating action plans. The role will report to our Legal Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve processes, team efficiency, organization and communication
  • Manage system implementations, improvements and maintenance (ThinkSmart and Jira)
  • Help build, maintain and scale project management process and knowledge management, including process automation (such as product legal audit software tools) and procedures for review of new features, functionality, products and services
  • Update and maintain templates, playbooks and guidelines based on laws, rules and regulatory guidance
  • Assist in handling and coordinating training programs delivered to organizations within the company
  • Collaborate with IT and Legal Ops to configure and maintain tools and technologies that increase our efficiency and value to the business
  • Develop positive, strong, and collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners across Splunk to enhance our effectiveness and ability to deliver on complex tasks
  • Create and maintain onboarding materials for new hires
  • Manage and collaborate with Paralegals to gather and prepare metrics reports and dashboards
  • Maintain a periodic calendar reminder for attorneys to keep Product Status List (PSL) updated
  • Assist attorneys with updating product information into the PSL
  • Responding to routine inquiries regarding business processes and use of systems
  • Being responsible for signature acquisition process, including ensuring contracts are executed in accordance with company policy
  • Manage ad hoc projects within the various Legal practice areas
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic credentials
  • At least five full years in-house experience in legal operations, sales operations or contract management or administration
  • Experience in project management – consistently completes projects on-time with great attention to detail
  • A demonstrated understanding of how to develop, implement, and enhance processes
  • Proactive approach to recognizing needs, anticipating issues, and solving problems
  • Experience in a dynamic high-performing environment requiring a high level of responsiveness
  • Experience working in-house at a technology/SaaS company strongly preferred
  • Experience with G Suite, ThinkSmart (TAP), Jira, ServiceNow, SFDC, and contract management system
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and DocuSign
