Job Description

Clinique is looking for a clever and tactical expert 3D designer and visual merchandiser to join the
Global Visual Merchandising and Store Design team reporting to the Associate Director. This role
will support the AD in the strategy, design, coordination, and successful execution of Visual
Merchandising concepts and guidelines across all distribution channels (FSS, wholesale,
SMC/Specialty and events). Key responsibilities are to ensure all Clinique retail activation designs
meet creative brief, timing, brand standards and aesthetics. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated
multi-tasker, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
× Partner with Associate Director, Global VMD to successfully execute on-brand and compelling
merchandising stories across all points of sale
× Support concepting, creation and delivery of strong retail activation design solutions
incorporating Marketing initiatives as it relates to Clinique retail design principals and
merchandising strategies
× Support Associate Director, Global VMD and marketing to ensure design plans accurately fulfill
seasonal merchandising needs and selling strategies (including planograms, space planning,
environmental graphics and global guidelines)
× Partner with Corporate Procurement to leverage Global resources for fixtures and materials
× Collaborate with Cross-Functional teams (Global Marketing, International, Travel Retail,
Promotions and Creative departments) to deliver innovative Merchandising design as part of 360
customer experience journey
× Produce presentation drawings in 3D, with strong working knowledge of fixture construction
and assembly
× Prepare presentation documents for Senior Management reviews, regional presentations, and
other requirements as needed
× Maintain strong awareness of design trends and tech innovations within industry retail
environments as well as outside and an aptitude to translate these ideas into a retail space
× Maintain strong working knowledge of Clinique brand – its heritage, customers, products, retail
environments as well as direct competitors
× Maintain high quality brand standards and follow-through in projects while adhering to project
defined guidelines and timetables
× Develop and maintain 3D product/packaging modeling library
Archiving all relevant drawings, concepts and communication for each project


Qualifications

× University degree in Industrial Design or Merchandising design a plus
× Minimum 3 years of related experience in visual merchandising or industrial design at a retail or
corporate office
× Comprehensive skill level in 3D modelling in Rhino required. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
(specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and Office Suite
× Hand sketching skills are a plus
× Good communication, organizational and presentation skills
× Effective time management. Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and react quickly
in a fast pace environment
× Excellent interpersonal/presentation skills to work with multiple business partners, crossfunctional
teams and to manage stakeholder partnerships is a must
× Knowledge of retail environments and trends
× Ability to work in both a highly collaborative team environment and independently
× Be a proactive, goal-oriented team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
× Enthusiastic about design and beauty a must
× Be exceptionally organized with an eye toward facilitating processes, rather than enforcing them
× Possess a keen attention to detail
