What you’re good at

Job Description: Handle all aspects software development, deployment, and maintenance for Schwab.com. Technical strategy and vision development and implementation for Schwab.com. Technology evaluation and selection. Integration with internal/external systems. Vendor management. Budget planning and tracking. Talent recruitment and people development. Responsible for the core web platform technology oversight and delivery of all key elements of the Schwab.com domain. Impacts delivery of projects for the Trading Services & Advisor Services businesses and the Digital Experience Strategy. Oversees cross-business initiatives impacting several other key business areas including Advisor Technology Solutions, Wealth Management Technologies & Trading Client Experience and Marketing. Leads multiple development teams including Application Delivery and Execution, Design and Engineering, Quality Assurance, Agile Development Oversight, Execution and platform support.

What you have

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 10 years of post baccalaureate, progressive, professional experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Experience and/or education must include:

Application development including requirements, design, implementation and maintenance in large scale, public-facing websites and systems.

Software development experiences including design patterns, data structures, test driven development

Leadership of a technology team responsible for a public facing website of a diversified financial services firm of similar scale and complexity including number of customers and transaction volume.

Remote team management with more than 50 employees as well as remote management of offshore teams outside the US.

Building cloud-based, customer behavior big data platforms.

Building and managing teams in a highly distributed environment including large distributed cloud and enterprise systems, databases and content management solution.
