Job Description:
Intelligence, Information, and Services (IIS) Business is seeking a financial analyst. In this role, you will support the programs in the Product Support organization. The candidate will maintain the cost and schedule baseline, identify risk and opportunities, prepare and analyze the Estimate-at-Completion (EAC), analyze monthly financial data, prepare monthly forecasts/budgets, analyze staffing requirements and identify opportunities to improve financial returns. The candidate will also assist in the FP&A process (financial planning and analysis) supporting the Business Manager as well as the Finance leads.
These activities include:

  • Cost and Schedule reporting and analysis
  • Earned Value reporting
  • Development of EAC’s
  • Provide detailed financial analysis for Cross Business Teams (CBT) and Integrated Product Teams (IPT)
  • Maintain accurate records for Budget and EAC tracking
  • Process approved Baseline Change Requests (BCR)
  • Utilize & share knowledge of the RTN Earned Value Management system process 10255 policy within the program team

Required Skills:
  • Experience of finance/accounting or project controls including, cost analysis and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited oversight and prioritize workload
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with ERP / accounting systems
  • MS Office, including advanced Excel knowledge

Desired Skills:
  • Earned value experience (EVMS) or similar systems
  • Program start up/baselining experience
  • Work experience in defense/aerospace industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Proactive with demonstrated ability to recognize process shortfalls and successfully implement positive change
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills: oral and written
  • Ability to frame and interpret issues for Senior Management
  • Previous experience/knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Required Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
This position requires either a U.S. person or a non-U.S. person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
