Position Description

When you join the Nielsen team, you’re signing up for an experience that requires flexibility, curiosity, and passion. As an Associate Manager/Manager, Client Development and Acquisition you will:

  • Assist senior account owners (at the Director and VP level) in the development of the Nielsen Innovation Practice business by collaborating on account management for multiple clients, both small and large.
  • Be accountable for supporting the business in achieving and exceeding revenue targets through excellence in partnership with Analytic groups
  • Be a strategic client partner and trusted advisor to key and complex clients
  • Work with the Client Service Manager(s) to extract insights and recommendations to deliver against client needs

General Skills

  • Understands Nielsen’s Innovation Practice products and services, forecasting theory and broader Nielsen solutions that impact innovation
  • Understand best practices and protocols for world-class market research/learning plans to effectively and efficiently drive a client's business objectives
  • Builds deep client relationships and is viewed as a trusted advisor
  • Ability to manage client expectations through the life-cycle of a project, ensuring client satisfaction by providing feedback, insights and updates in a timely manner
  • Proactively manage internal requirements for revenue management, forecasting of the business and weekly pipeline management protocols
  • Meets revenue targets, and grows relationships with clients
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Drives successful Innovation outcomes for clients
  • Able to act independently
  • Consultative selling

Background and Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-5 years’ experience in market research or sales
  • Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude
  • Strong Marketing/Research background
  • Relevant experience with, research techniques & experimental design
  • Related industries include: Consumer Packaged Goods, Consulting, Information, Sales, Analytics
