Unity Architect, IBM iX and Mobile (Remote)

Job Description
IBM iX is seeking diverse, multi-talented Unity architects to join our growing team of XR designers and technologists. You will be part of a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team helping clients create innovative augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR) applications ranging from consumer experiences to data visualizations, training to field service. You will work in a creative and energetic environment, working directly with designers, 3D artists, writers, strategists, technologists and others.
Responsibilities
• Technical design and implementation for applications across the XR spectrum
• Guiding and mentoring technical team members on projects
• Contribute to defining processes, workflows, toolsets, and best practices to enable scalable, repeatable Unity project execution across IBM iX
• Estimating, planning, building, and guiding technical solutions
• Direct interaction with clients and external partners
• Developing supporting diagrams, documentation, and other artifacts
• Setting up effective layers, dependencies and integration points for applications, prioritizing maintenance, extensibility, security and/or performance as needed
• Maintaining systems written by others
• Mentoring team members
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Significant experience implementing apps or games in Unity
• Shipped multiple Unity apps or games
• Mastery of architectural patterns and best practices for Unity
• Portfolio demonstrating Unity apps you've implemented
• Minimum 4 years experience implementing engaging user experiences in any technology
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
• Proficiency with multiple game/rendering engines including Unreal Engine
• Experience with one or more AR SDKs including ARKit, ARCore, or Vuforia
• Experience integrating external systems with Unity (eg. cloud-based services)
• Portfolio demonstrating XR applications you've implemented
• Shipped one or more AR or VR projects
• Skill with 3D modeling, animation, audio production, or video production a plus
