The Role As an Art Lead at Next Games, you’ll work within a team of highly talented and motivated artists to create visually outstanding games on Netflix. You should be a highly skilled artist , with an exceptional art portfolio, extensive experience in mobile gaming and strong leadership skills . You thrive in creating high-quality visual design, and you lead, mentor, and manage other artists. You seek to find functional and highly-polished workflows and pipelines to ensure a smooth art production cycle with a focus on cross-discipline collaboration

Responsibilities

• Owning the art in our top priority game and leading the artists in the same project
• Creating strong visual identity for a game project by creating high-quality concept art, prototypes, and final game art assets throughout various stages of game development.
• Highly creative person with deep understanding of world-building, branding, and visual communication
• Actively looking for ways to design and create new high quality visuals for games and you want to raise the bar of outstanding Game Art
• Independent and efficient in managing and organizing their workload
• Proactively improving the workflows and setting a high standard of artistic game development
• Creating and maintaining Art Bibles and Art Documentation.
• Working closely with the Art Director in both creating strong visual styles as well as fostering the company culture within the Art Discipline team
• Overseeing the work of up to 5 artists and mentoring other artists
• Strong, proactive communication skills, within discipline and cross discipline
• Proactive self direction with maintaining up-to-date knowledge of software and pipeline
• Self motivated and directed, with a can do attitude

Tools

• Adobe Suite / Illustrative software
• Unity or other similar game engine
• Strong concepting skills
• Strong 2D and or 3D asset creation skills
• Can adapt easily and proactively to different software and tasks

Nice to have

• Experience in working with tools such as Figma or similar prototyping tools
• Jira, confluence and other project management tools
