The Business Proposal Team within the Aladdin Business Development Group is responsible for producing all Aladdin business RFP/RFI/due diligence questionnaires for the Aladdin, eFront, and Aladdin Wealth product suites. The Aladdin business is recognized in the industry for its professional and high-quality proposals. RFP and DDQ professionals will develop a solid understanding of our product offerings, the technical ecosystem of each, and the ability to provide clear and helpful information to clients and prospects who are evaluating out technology. The team primarily partners with the Aladdin Sales & Marketing team, which is responsible for developing new client relationships for the Aladdin business, and the Aladdin Client Engagement team, which manages the relationship with current clients. The role will require the ability to understanding the requirements of prospective client organizations and how they may differ from current clients, all with the aim of providing superior prospect and client service.

Purpose and Scope:

The RFP and DDQ Team within the Aladdin Sales & Marketing team is seeking an Analyst with a technical background to join our team. The candidate must have an interest in proposal writing and corporate communications. The candidate will play a key role in implementing scalable proposal (RFP/RFI/DDQ) processes, coordinating and writing proposals, and partnering with various technical and business teams throughout the organization

Role Description:

  • Managing the end-to-end DDQ process from evaluating questionnaire to submitting the final response
  • Writing high-quality, customized responses about our firm, support model and technical attributes
  • Proposing and implementing improvements to the process to increase efficiency, quality and usefulness to our prospects/clients
  • Liaising with subject matter experts throughout the business to articulate our technical infrastructure and controls in an external-friendly manner
  • Collaborative writing and editing of Aladdin business publications
  • Oversight of central technical language database

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop knowledge across the full range of BlackRock technology systems
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across the firm and interact with professionals at all levels
  • Develop advanced project management, written and verbal communication, and client service skills
  • Work with a global team and provide global support

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, preferably including new business proposal (RFP/DDQ) writing for an investment or risk management technology company, editing, collaborative writing, or project management
  • Familiarity with financial technology and the underlying infrastructure and controls
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding academic achievement, relevant certifications are a plus
  • Organized, diligent and proactive individual, committed to excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team and excel in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
  • Open to learning from constructive feedback and using that to grow
