About Client Experience

Our mission within the Client Experience (CX) organization is to make it easier for clients to do business with BlackRock, making service so simple it becomes a source of alpha. We are organized across 4 key pillars:

Client Experience Delivery- client-facing teams orchestrating all aspects of service delivery, and onboarding teams bringing new business onto our platform, Wealth- differentiated capability for both Whole Portfolio and Wealth clients & products, respectively,

Client Experience Operations- core client operations teams driving reporting, billing, and onboarding due diligence across the globe, and

Client Experience Transformation- accelerating progress towards our CX mission via research and competitive insights, analytics, marketing, business and change management.

Team Overview

Our Data & Documentation Governance (DDG) teamsits in CX Operations and works closely with Onboarding and critical internal stakeholders is responsible for the maintenance and governance of our client contracts and other legal documents globally across BlackRock. Using Aladdin proprietary and Artificial Intelligence tools, our team ensures all client contractual and due diligence documents are accurately stored and maintained to enable:

  • Implementation and Client Business teams to deliver an elite client service experience for new and existing clients
  • Portfolio Managers to fulfill their investment management responsibilities
  • Legal and Compliance teams to align with regulatory reporting obligations

As a Client Data & Document Governance Analyst, you will understand the importance of quality data and strive to maintain its integrity in our systems. You will have an opportunity to apply your knowledge of contractual and legal documents, and demonstrate your ability to analyze information, ask questions and draw conclusions. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring client requirements contained in contract or other legal documents are accurately reflected and maintained in the standing data system
  • Work with other team members to ensure consistency in Client Document storage
  • Monitor the health of client contractual and due diligence documents and resolve exceptions
  • Maintain and monitor project documentation by utilizing project tracker tools
  • Build positive relationships across the organization by listening carefully to our internal partners
  • Identify improvement opportunities that lower the risk of errors and increase efficiency
  • Assist and support projects
  • Manage and help resolve data exceptions

Experience, Skills, & Qualifications

  • Post Graduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field is strongly preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in investment management business, highly desirable.
  • Familiarity reading legal documents and ability to understand basic legal document structure and terms
  • Strong control/risk mitigation mentality with ability to know when to advance issues
  • Organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills
  • Good communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Experience with business applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SQL
  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to contribute beyond the scope of one's role to achieve team and firm objectives
