Know what our users want? Join us and help Spotify give it to them. The Catalog and Content Management (CoCaM) team works at the heart of the Content Platform R&D studio to ensure existing and new content rules are applied at scale to an increasingly complex catalogue. We are seeking a creative and analytical Group Product Manager (GPM) to lead our content rule platform, tooling, automation initiatives, and a community of product managers, designers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists working on strategically important priorities for the organisation. In this role, you will deliver an extensible content rule platform that can easily adapt to model all current and future content rules, provide simple solutions that orchestrate complex business logic through a balance of human operations and automation, and be transparent and explainable to internal teams and external stakeholders. Your work will be used by and impact the lives of millions of people around the world.

What You ́ll Do

    • Own the strategic roadmap for six squads[teams] building a content rule platform that can support as many content rules as possible, support as many content types as possible, ensure data supports reporting, auditability and feedback, views and permissions for external users, fast, timely and confident decisions, high accuracy decisions by specialists.

    • Define and drive overall product vision, strategy, and metrics for your area, and inspire the teams to follow your lead.
    • Work closely with partners across the organization to make sure that you and the area provides for the company’s short- and long-term goals.
    • Build and maintain strong and balanced teams, with a focus on capabilities, happiness, resilience, and growth.
    • Work relentlessly to make sure your team is doing the right things, while not spreading too thinly.

Who You Are

    • You have several years of experience managing and developing new innovative automated solutions for catalogues and content, building tools for content moderators, understanding, analysing and onboarding complex content rules (policies) and different content types.
    • Experienced in defining and driving product strategy across more than one team, considering the needs of not just the Product Area (CoCam) but other Product Areas (PAs), centralised teams and the R&D studio as a whole. Strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of crafting product strategies and roadmaps.
    • Experienced in managing, coaching and mentoring line reports, conducting performance reviews and crafting career growth plans. Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills, with a proven track record of inspiring and motivating teams.
    • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present concepts and ideas to partners at all levels and in different contexts.
    • Good at sorting through ambiguity, preserving options, building out solutions and breaking down complex concepts into simple actions. You know how to influence decision-making at all levels within an organisation, and in a variety of contexts.
    • High standards for yourself and others.
    • You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.
